A Virtual Machine (VM) works just as a remote computer you are connecting to. Most of what you’ll need to know is just one Google search away from you. We’ll send you an handy short guide to explain how to get access to the system from either Windows, OS or Linux, as you will need to generate SSH keys to send us. The guide will also contain useful informations about how to mount a volume and write to it, in case you were allocated one. Our VMs will have one flavour of LINUX as OS, so you may want to become comfortable using its command line. You can check if we are running any training you think could help you, or get in touch with us if you would like to organise one for your institution.
