To make sure everything is up to date and running as expected we sometimes need to bring part or all of the system down for maintenance. We’ll usually send an email to let all users with running instances this is about to happen, and we’ll try to schedule maintenance when it creates less disruption.
If something isn’t working as expected you can check here to see if there’s a planned maintenance in place and how long it’s going to last.
The CyVerse UK applications rely on the Agave API, if in doubt check
their status page as well.

4th to 7th of December (time TBC): This is due to be a site wide-maintenance and will affect any running user virtual machines, as well as the core CyVerse UK services and “powered by CyVerse UK” projects. The data store will also be impacted. 31st of October (7AM to 10AM): This is due to the proxy system undergoing essential maintenance. All virtual machines and jobs will keep running, but they will be unreachable unless you are on site.25th to 28th of September (time TBC): This is due to be a site-wide maintenance and will affect any running user virtual machines, as well as the core CyVerse UK services and “powered by CyVerse UK” projects. The data store will also be impacted.29th November 1:30PM to 2nd December (time TBC): This is a site-wide maintenance and will affect any running user virtual machines, as well as the core CyVerse UK services and “powered by CyVerse UK” projects.
